A Slacker Five Miles

I didn't get up early yesterday morning to run 8 miles with my running club.  And instead, Todd made Apple Blackberry Crumble and I ate it with ice cream.  :|

So I think it's safe to say that I was a slacker yesterday. And for most of today. I spent HOURS today finishing up some Christmas gifts I'm making, with a deadline. I just really wanted to get it done and get it out of the way! I did get it finished, by the way, but that's why I'm blogging so late. And since they're Christmas gifts and some people I know might be reading my blog, I can't show you. :(

Around 4:40pm, we decided to un-slack ourselves and go run at Miramar Lake. Today was a gorgeous day, the temperature was around 70, which was simply perfect. I ran the five miles around the lake really well, while enjoying views like this.

Here are my stats.

I ran faster with each mile, so I was pretty happy with myself.

Total Distance: 5.0 miles
Time: 54:08
Avg pace per mile: 10:49
Calories burned: 498

Now I don't feel quite as guilty about the Apple Blackberry Crumble. ;p

  2. Mm, it looks yummy! It is nice to be a slacker sometimes, especially when it involves such delicious stuff.
It must feels great to have some Christmas gifts already done! I probably wait another month or so, but if something is about to be hand-made it is kind of time for it now.
