Cupcakes and Knights

Sunday night is "Game of Thrones" night around here.  This time we went over to Dejah and Roby's house for dinner and the show.  Dejah made chicken meatballs stir-fry with snow peas, mushrooms, and green beans.  It was nom!

We had some wonderful riesling wine with that and I was in yum-world. But wait, there's dessert!

Earlier in the day, Todd made Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting. He says I love them. I had no doubts, except I didn't remember having these cupcakes before.

The vanilla cream cheese frosting was to-die for. AND Todd put Ghirardelli chocolate chunks in the cupcake, just to up the ante.

Now you don't need to wonder why it's difficult for me to lose weight around here. :-|

So we ate some cupcakes with Dejah and Roby after dinner, then we watched the 8th episode of "Game of Thrones" on HBO. Only two more eps until the end of Season 1! And it's been picked up for a second season already.

As always, it was fun to hang out and eat with Dejah and Roby.

Tonight, Todd made Tilapia Tostadas with Roasted Corn Relish. These were very yummy, except that the corn meal on the fish burned easily in the pan. We're thinking of baking the fish in the oven next time.

Yum! Todd cooked it, but I "plated" it for photos! I'd like to fancy myself as a food stylist, ha ha. That is, if the food doesn't get eaten first. :-|

  1. Luckily, nobody can see the pig cupcake wrappers in these photos.

  3. Holy moley I would have serious weight problems if I hung out at your house. I don't even exercise :P

I never expected to like Game of Thrones as much as I do, lol. Can't wait to catch episode 8!

  4. What a yummy meal! I love the way you styled the food, so fancy! Must be nice having a hubby who can cook. My hubby can cook, but doesn't have too much time to do so. It is usually left to me and I go for good old comfort food.
