Citrus Twist Kits | October Guest Designer

20141001_CTKguest

I cannot believe it is October already!  That’s probably why I sort of spaced out that today was my guest reveal post at Citrus Twist Kits blog!  I am the October guest designer for Citrus Twist Kits!  I am very excited to be creating some projects with their October kit.  There will be several blog posts with my projects over the course of the month.  I can’t wait to show them to you!  :)  In the meantime, my first layout for them and my interview is up on their blog today, so click over if you would like to read more.

My first layout for them is titled “Just Tri It”.  It is a play on the word “triathlon”.  My husband Todd completed the Ironman Vineman 70.3 triathlon in Sonoma County in July.  My layout is inspired by his awesome accomplishment.

Supplies:  Everything I used was from the Citrus Twist Kits October kit, except for the white cardstock I used to cut out the circle tri-shape.

Since a triathlon consists of three events (swim, bike, run), I thought it would be fun to create a circle made of three partitions and fill them with different patterned papers.  I used my Silhouette  software to create the divided circle and cut it out with a piece of white cardstock.

The rest of the layout contain smaller circles to play off of the big circle.

I loved the little alpha stickers in different colors from Echo Park’s “Creative Agenda”, and the puffy stickers in the October kit.  Those diecut numbers from American Crafts “Shimelle” are a favorite too!

Thank you for stopping by!  I’ll be blogging more layouts using the October Citrus Twist kit during this month.

  3. "Let your sparkle shine" did you type that? How did you get it to curve perfectly.

    1. It was a stamp from the October kit. I bent the stamp slightly before putting it on the acrylic block!

  4. Congratulations on all these awesome guest designer spots, Christine! I really like the way you emphasized the subject of this layout by partitioning the circle.
