Cocoa Daisy | Summer Fun Pocket Pages

20150823-IMG_5792_CLN

I’m the September guest designer at the Cocoa Daisy kit club, and I’m excited to show you a few pocket pages that I created with the September main scrapbook kit “Daydream”!  As you recall, I am documenting my summer fun with a Project Life 6x8 album this year.  I started the album in July and I’ve added a few pages.

This was a fantastic event we went to in July.  It was during the San Diego Comic Con and we rode the trolley into downtown.  We saw some awesome costumes!  We attended a concert by the San Diego Symphony Pops.  They showed the movie "Star Trek Into Darkness" and all the music score was played live by the symphony, coordinated with the movie!  It was really awesome and one of my favorite things we did this year.

The "San Diego Symphony" 6x8 page was a simple page with a stunning photo of the stage at sunset.  I layered two paper strips under the top and bottom of the photo. The flair button added dimension.

On the other two pocket pages, I included some patterned papers and Simple Stories phrase stickers.

I also stamped directly onto one of my photos using the OA roller stamps.  I'm a huge fan of those OA roller stamps!  I have several and they are just the right size and so convenient to add that little word art touch.

So now I’ve added a few more pages to my Summer Fun 2015 album!

Thanks for stopping by this week and taking a look at the projects that I created with the September Cocoa Daisy main scrapbook kit!

Paper Issues | Project Life Summer Fun Album

20150705-IMG_5684_CLN_600

Hey everyone!  I hope your summer is going well.  I’m on the Paper Issues blog today, showing you a few pages from my Summer Fun album!  Every year Todd and I make a “Summer Fun List” of all the things we want to enjoy during summer.  The longer days allow us to do fun things after work, even on week nights!  I started this album to capture all the fun things we are doing this summer.

I’m using a Project Life 6x8 album.  There are a ton of other 6x8 albums available in the market, including some Simple Stories ones in the Paper Issues store.  My title page was created using a page from the Simple Stories Summer Vibes collection.  I used the chipboard frames, chipboard stickers, and diecuts.

On the back of the front page, I printed our summer fun list that I had in Google docs, shared with Todd.  I simply copied and pasted into a 6x8 document and printed it out, before embellishing the other side of the page.

The first page was created using the 3x4 and 4x6 Project Life Photo Pocket Pages 6x8 Design 3.  I used Elle’s Studio’s Let’s Eat collection, including the cute wood veneer and label, and This + That paper.

I love documenting the food we eat, so this Elle’s Studio Let’s Eat collection was right up my alley!

20150705-IMG_5690_PI_CN

This page was about our first time eating a lobster roll at Lobster West.  I used Let’s Eat Bits & Pieces, and wood veneers again.

20150705-IMG_5691_PI_CN

I typed up my journaling, printed it out on regular printer paper, and adhered it to my background.

20150705-IMG_5693_PI_CN

We went to a new-to-us coffee house and it was awesome.  The best lattes are the ones where no sugar is needed!  So smooth!  I used Elle’s Studio Let’s Eat Best Ever and Yum papers, and journaling tags.

Of course, summer fun includes hanging out with friends and watching the NBA Finals, especially if you’re a Cleveland Cavaliers fan like Todd is!

This is my last project for Paper Issues, my design team term ends at the end of July.  Make sure you use my discount code before then, because I don’t think it would be valid after I’m no longer part of the team.  Thanks for your support for the past 11 months, for Paper Issues and for using my discount code, and also for stopping by to look at my projects!  I really appreciate it!  :)

Paper Issues | Disneyland Pocket Page

20150607-IMG_5648_PI_CN

Hi everyone!  I’m on the Paper Issues blog today showing you a pocket page I created about my recent girls-only trip to Disneyland!  I decided to use the pocket page or Project Life format because I have a lot of photos for this trip.  I’ve already created a 12x12 page and I wanted to have a pocket page facing that 12x12 page.

I used a lot of fun items from Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy!  This collection is so perfect for celebrations and magical events such as going to Disneyland.

20150607-IMG_5640_CLN_1000

I created a title using the Stripey Straws paper and ephemera diecuts.  I also used some 7 Paper Baxter puffy stickers to “fill in” the circles on the paper.  The title “Disney” was stamped using the Hero Arts Kelly Purkey Outline Letters stamps.

20150607-IMG_5641_PI_CN

I love using dimensional stickers on photos.  Here I used some Amelia gold hearts stickers and star enamel stickers from Bella Blvd.

20150607-IMG_5643_PI_CN

Another thing I like to do is write or stamp on photos.  I got a new Sakura photo pen and it works really well writing on photos and drying immediately!

20150607-IMG_5645_PI_CN

I used a diecut from Fine & Dandy and adhered it to the left side of my photo.  Then I just cut off the top to be flush with the photo.

20150607-IMG_5646_PI_CN

I adore the mini Doodlebug doilies for layering, especially on small-sizes like Project Life pocket pages!

20150607-IMG_5647_PI_CN

This is how it looks in my album.  My pocket page on the left side and my 12x12 page on the right.  I love organizing my album this way!

Paper Issues | Vacation Pocket Page

20150425-IMG_5543_PI_CN

Happy Monday, everyone!  I’m on the Paper Issues blog today with a vacation pocket page!  As you recall from a couple of weeks ago, I created a 12x12 layout about our Hawaii vacation using Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection Confetti.  I thought I would create a corresponding pocket page and put them next to each other in my album.

I don’t do pocket pages the traditional Project Life way anymore.  This year I’m not doing chronological scrapbooking, which means I don’t document week by week or even monthly using pocket pages.  However, I still have room for pocket pages in my life for those times when I want to add more photos!  I really enjoy combining 12x12 pages with pocket pages to document my life.  To coordinate with my 12x12 page, I usually use the same scrapbook collection so that everything is the same color scheme.

20150425-IMG_5537_CLN_600

On our Big Island vacation, we celebrated my birthday with lunch at the Four Seasons.  The views were fantastic, and the food was out of this world!  I cut the Confetti “Blast” paper into 4x6 size and layered several of the diecut ephemera under my photos.

20150425-IMG_5542_PI_CN

I used some glitter foam Thickers for my title, as well as some alpha stickers.  The gold star vellum paper looks so pretty layered over the Fete paper

20150425-IMG_5541_PI_CN

One thing that I discovered I love to do is to stamp words onto my photos.  I used some Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards stamps that aren’t in the store anymore, but you can definitely get the same look with any stamps.

20150425-IMG_5544_PI_CN

I added some Tiny Phrase Stickers onto some of my photos and they make me happy!

20150425-IMG_5545_PI_CN

So now I have matching 12x12 and pocket pages that document part of our vacation!

20150425-IMG_5551_PI_CN

Hope you enjoyed a look at my pocket page and the way I’m organizing my album this year!

You can use my code LISTGIRL for 20% off your entire purchase in the Paper Issues store!  So many goodies in there!

Evalicious | Christmas Eve Project Life

20141227-IMG_5184_CLN

Hi everyone!  I’m on the Evalicious blog today with a Project Life page I created about our Christmas Eve.  I used lots of goodies from the Oh What Fun collection for my page.

20141227-IMG_5179_CLN

I used Ledger Alphas Puffy Stickers for my title.  I added a tab from “Oh What Fun Page Tabs” and some wood veneers from “Oh What Fun Wood Veneer”.  The sleigh and the 24 circle were perfect for my Christmas Eve page!  I added some silver sequins to dress up the page.  To add to the silver color theme, I colored some of the wood veneers and puffy alpha stickers with a silver Sharpie pen.

20141227-IMG_5182_CLN_PS

I added the “Ho Ho Ho” wood veneer to my santa-in-front-of-the-tree bokeh photo.  On the left, I created a journal card by using a puffy sticker from “Oh What Fun Puffy Stickers V1”, and a label from “Oh What Fun Snipsnip Labels”.

20141227-IMG_5187_CLN

I used a couple of journal cards from “This Christmas Large Tags”.  After I wrote the journaling, I drew in the lines.  I love this photo of Todd and my dad!

20141227-IMG_5188_CLN

I added another Oh What Fun puffy sticker to the upper left corner of my photo of our Christmas Eve dinner.

20141227-IMG_5189_CLN

And of course, I had to include a photo of our Christmas tree with all the wrapped presents underneath it on Christmas Eve!  I added the wood veneer star next to the word “tree” on the bottom right corner.  I colored the wood veneer with a green Sharpie glitter paint pen.  I added a white clip from the “Camera Love Shape Clips” to the upper right of the photo.  I also added an Oh What Fun Snipsnip Label to the upper left of the photo.  Lastly, I adhered a “Oh What Fun Badge Button” to the outside of the pocket sleeve so the pocket wouldn’t be warped.
