In February…

201202_Feb_MIR_85x11_612

  • I ran 33 miles (on my way towards my goal of 366 miles in 2012) - it was less than the 41 miles I ran in January, but it was enough to keep me on pace to achieve my goal.
  • On top of running, I walked 17 miles.  I started taking walk breaks at work.  Our work courtyard is about .25 miles per loop, and I tried to take at least four walking breaks every day that I'm at the office.
  • I spent 15 hours and 50 minutes exercising.  Not too bad considering I spent 15 hours and 58 minutes exercising in January and it was a longer month.
  • We cooked 15 meals at home.
  • I lost zero pounds.
  • Todd ran 46 miles.
  • Todd biked 180 miles.
  • Todd swam 8 miles.
  • Todd became a Tough Mudder.
  • We took 603 photos.
  • I read two books:  “Catching Fire” and “Mockingjay” by Suzanne Collins.  Now I'm ready for the “Hunger Games” movie!
  • Movies watched:  “Crazy Stupid Love”, and “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol”.  Just realized I watched “Easy A” last month.  I must be an Emma Stone fan now.
  • I journaled online daily at Oh Life 29 times.
  • I journaled in my Moleskine daily planner 29 times.
  • I finished submitting the line item details of our 2012 budget at work, and it got uploaded into our Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • I stuck to my exercise plan, although my right leg is somewhat sore so I haven't been as gung-ho as January.
  • I went back to interval training gym class at work.  I love it!
  • I stopped tracking calories at Daily Plate, because I wasn't losing any weight.
  • I went for my annual physical.
  • I went to the dentist and got a nightguard so I don't further damage my teeth and jaw when I grind and clench in my sleep.
  • I finished four more weeks of Project Life in my album.
  • I took Todd to dinner at Donovans in La Jolla to celebrate his birthday.
  • We celebrated Todd's birthday and the Super Bowl with a "Super Todd" party.
  • I wrote two blog posts for The Lilypad.  One about journaling pens, and one about getting unstuck creatively.
  • We snuggled with Noodle a lot.
  • We went running down by the harbor and got to eat some seafood afterwards at Point Loma Seafoods.
  • I picked up In N Out Burger and went to eat with Sally at her house while she's on bedrest for her pregnancy.  I gave her all her gifts.
  • We went to Santouka for our favorite real Japanese ramen noodles.  Yum!
  • I found one of my favorite childhood caramel candies at the Japanese store.
  • I survived the 5th anniversary of my mom's passing.  We went to LA to bring her some flowers at her resting place, and had dinner with dad and Shelly.
  • We celebrated Valentine's Day with some oatmeal in heart bowls and some hot chocolate at night in heart mugs.
  • We went out to Pizzeria Bruno Napoletano for a belated Valentine's dinner.  Our first time there!
  • We took Presidents Day off and had breakfast at Crest Cafe.  The whole day was awesome!
  • We went to Rudy's for their carne asada for the first time.  Their ginormous tortillas are so good.  There was a ton to bring home because they were so big.
  • I had lunch with my friend Erecca from work.
  • Todd went to Lestat's for Kim Divine's CD release concert.
  • We went to Homestyle Hawaiian with Cassi, Dan, and Madi to try out their Hawaiian food on a weeknight.  It was ok, but we enjoyed the company a lot!
  • There was a meeting of the Soup Club exchange, but Meera had another engagement and forgot to show up.
  • Todd got a new backpack for work.
  • We survived lots of rain.
  • We got our backyard circuit breaker fixed.
  • My car door got scratched up.  Not sure if someone did it on purpose or not.  I'm glad I drive an almost 13 year old car, or else I might have cried.
  • Todd made the most awesome banana bread ever.
  • I started using my 50mm F/1.8 lens again.  I had forgotten how awesome this lens is.
  • I re-discovered the awesomeness of Instagram and Hipstamatic on my iPod Touch.
  • Todd went to urgent care for his chest muscle pull.  He also went to the dermatologist and got a mole removed.
  • We made the best tasting vegetarian pasta ever:  Spring Vegetable Pasta from America's Test Kitchen!  So yummy!

That was our February.  March will be a great month and I’m looking forward to a lot of good stuff!  :D
