I had some crafty adventures this week that I thought I’d share.
Heat Embossing | This was the first time I’d ever done heat embossing. I used Versamark Ink on black cardstock. I stamped the cute camera from the Lovestruck stamps from the Amy Tangerine Collection by American Crafts. Then I spread some white embossing powder I got from Michaels (I think it’s their store brand… Recollection). Then I used my Martha Stewart heat gun on it. I was disappointed with the results. I’m not sure what went wrong because it was my first time. It could be that the Michaels embossing powder is not good, or it could be user error with the heat gun. The embossing powder didn’t melt or get raised, so when you touch it the powder comes off and the design gets ruined. :( I’ll probably try the American Crafts Zing embossing powder next time.
Silhouette Print & Cut | I haven’t done the “print & cut” function on my Silhouette digital cutting machine since they released the new Silhouette Studio software, so I thought I would try it out. I selected several print & cut shapes that I already had (list below at the end of the post if you want to check them out). I pulled them up into Silhouette Studio. Then I printed them out with the registration marks. 
Then I fed the printed sheet with the registration marks into my Silhouette digital cutter. It scans for the registration marks so it knows where to cut. 
In a minute of so, I magically have tags all cut out for me! 
All these awesome tags printed and cut out for me from my Silhouette. I can’t wait to use them in my Project Life pages, scrapbook pages, or just anything crafty. :) 
Baby Card | I needed to make a long-overdue card for a good friend of mine, so I decided to use my Silhouette to help me out. I picked out the baby onesie shape from this set of baby shapes that I had previously purchased from Silhouette. Then I used the Silhouette to cut them out on white Bazzill cardstock. I used some aqua Divine Twine to make a cute clothesline, then stapled the twine onto the cardstock using my Tiny Attacher. Then I glued the onesie cutouts onto the twine/paper using glue dots. The banner with the baby’s name was a print & cut from the Silhouette that I designed. I used two brown brads from Basic Grey to complete the look.
