Tutorial Video | Layout Using Stamped Background

I made my first start-to-finish process video showing you how I created a layout with a stamped background mat, using one of my favorite Evalicious stamps!  I love Evalicious stamps because they are deeply etched red rubber and they give a really crisp impression.

I wanted to use a white mat with gray stamped images to be the background of the main part of my layout, because the 12x12 patterned paper that I used is a very colorful and busy paper.  Using the white mat with the subtle gray stamped images helps to direct the eye to the main part of my layout with my photo and embellishments.

This is the finished layout.

I love the Love My Cat badge buttons!

    1. Thanks, Linda! We had two cats from 1995-2005. Then we didn't have any cats until we got Noodle at the beginning of 2011. It took some getting used to again, but he's an integral part of our little family now. He's an awesome cat!

  2. Loved watching the video, Christine! I enjoyed seeing your process. I haven't traditionally scrapbooked a layout in years, but seeing this was so inspiring that if you keep this up, I may just dig up all my old supplies and get scrapping again, lol! Btw, Noodle is adorable! xoxo

    1. Thanks for the kind words, Dahlia! After years of digi-scrapping, I find I like stepping away from the computer and get crafty with my hands. My craft work table is standing height, so it's a nice change from being on the computer all day at work.
