Evalicious | All About The Coffee

20150419-IMG_5527_CLN

Hello everyone!  I’m on the Evalicious blog today, showing you my layout all about the coffee!  When Eve showed us the new products in the shop, I was so excited to see the Life’s Sweet collection, because lately I’ve been all about the coffee!

I’ve had a Keurig machine since fall of 2010.  A few months ago the water pump on it started having issues.  I was going to purchase a new Keurig, but after having really great fresh-roasted coffee beans, we decided to purchase a coffee grinder, an electric kettle, and a pour-over contraption instead.  Now my homemade coffee every morning is so good that I often don’t even add any sugar!

20150419-IMG_5520_CLN

I used the new Faux Cork Puffy Alphas for my title.  The brown colors seemed perfect for a coffee-themed layout!  I also just love Life’s Sweet Wood Veneer V1, because that little latte with a cute face is my favorite!  I stamped the latte cup from Addicted To You Clear Stamp Set and the coffee cup from Morning Coffee Clear Stamp Set onto white cardstock.  Then I colored them with my new Copic markers. (Another new addiction, sigh!)  Then I fussy-cut them out with scissors and adhered them to my layout using foam adhesive to pop them up.

20150419-IMG_5523_CLN

I anchored the top and bottom of my layout with two wood veneers from Life’s Sweet Wood Veneer V2.  I also used two journal cards from Life’s Sweet Large Tags, one for journaling and one on the bottom of my layout as word art embellishment.

I stamped a bunch of sentiments from both stamp sets onto the bottom white strip of my photos.  I love seeing them together and lined up like this!

Make A Card | Hello 40 Shaker Card

20150416-2015-04-16 15.05.19_CLN

I made this card for my friend AJ’s 40th birthday.  I decided to use gold elements for some elegance and masculinity.  I didn’t think cutesy was the way to go this time,  ha ha!  I made it a shaker card by adding some gold sequins behind the diecut numbers.  There’s acetate backing the 40 so that the sequins don’t fall out.

Paper Issues | Big Island

20150411-IMG_5513_CLN

Good morning everyone!  I’m on the Paper Issues blog today, sharing a layout I created about our recent vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii.  I chose a photo of us on the beach with pink and turquoise, so I thought the new Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection Confetti was perfect for scrapbooking my layout!

I cut up a few pieces of paper from Confetti.  I just love the colors and patterns in this collection.  It’s versatile for all types of layouts, and it’s perfect for my tropical vacation.

Layering with papers is probably one of my favorite ways to scrapbook. I also love to layer with diecuts and punched out shapes.

20150411-IMG_5503_CLN

I also like creating texture with wood veneers, paper clips, sequins, and stickers.

The string of tickets was cut out from the Festival paper.  I love papers that you can cut apart like this!

I hope you enjoyed a look at how I used the Crate Paper Confetti collection to scrap a vacation photo.  The teals, pinks, and gold in this collection are really gorgeous.  My layout came together in no time, which means I’m using product that I love!

You can save 20% off this Maggie Holmes Confetti collection, or anything else in the Paper Issues store, by using my code LISTGIRL!

Make A Card | A Couple of Thank You Cards

20150411-2015-04-11 14.43.16_CLN

Hi everyone!  I’m sharing a couple of thank-you cards that I made a week ago to give to friends.

The first is a thank you card for our next-door neighbor Fred.  Fred takes very good care of Noodle when we go on vacations and trips.  He took care of Noodle all week when we were in Hawaii in March.  So I made him a cat-themed thank-you card and put a gift card for him in there.

Paper Issues | All You Need

20150405-IMG_5489_CLN

The newest link party went live on the Paper Issues blog today!  This issue is called “Prints Charming’s Beautiful Papers” and is sponsored by Scrapbook Circle

20150405_CLN_AllYouNeedIsLove

I used the March Scrapbook Circle kit “Here’s The Story”.  There are lots of colorful patterned papers in the kit, which works very well with the Paper Issues prints charming theme.  I decided to scrap one of my favorite photos of my cat Noodle that I haven’t scrapbooked yet.  I also used the Scrapbook Circle Be Happy Digital cut files to cut out the “today” banner and adhered it below the photo.

20150405-IMG_5484_CLN

Part of this Paper Issues link party theme is also “subway art”, so I decided to make my title into some stacked words that I cut out on my Silhouette with patterned papers.

20150405-IMG_5485_CLN

I added in some journaling onto a pink circle punched out of paper.  Date-stamped a label sticker and my layout was complete!

20150405-IMG_5486_CLN

Be sure to link your project to this Prints Charming link party at Paper Issues for a chance to win the March Scrapbook Circle’s main kit!  Great prize!

Evalicious | Destination

20150405-IMG_5498_Evalicious_CN

Good morning!  I am on the Evalicious blog today to show you a layout I created using mainly stamping as my background.

I started with a white cardstock background and drew some horizontal lines in pencil with my t-square ruler.

20150405-2015-04-05 15.44.35_Evalicious_CN

Then I picked out some Evalicious stamps and stamped in alternating colors across each line.

20150405-2015-04-05 15.53.06_Evalicious_CN

When I was done, I had a colorful stamped background for my layout.  I added some paper strips in matching colors across the top and bottom of my layout to anchor and balance.

20150405-2015-04-05 16.25.11_Evalicious_CN

I filled in the “Date / Place” stamped images with the information from our trip.  On our trip to the Big Island of Hawaii, we celebrated my birthday with lunch at the Four Seasons.

20150405-IMG_5490_CLN_600

I added some paper and embellishments around my photo to make it stand out from the stamped background.

20150405-IMG_5493_Evalicious_CN

I love how the stamped background turned out!

Try stamping a background next time you make a layout!  Evalicious has lots of travel and everyday stamps that are just perfect for this purpose.

Hope you enjoyed having a look at my process of putting this layout together!  Thanks for stopping by!

On Friday 3/27, I had a birthday girls happy hour with my friends from work to celebrate all of us who have March birthdays.  I decided to make birthday cards for all the other girls who have March birthdays.  I used the same stamp & die set to make each card assembly-line style.
